1. What do you enjoy most about being a Subject Matter Expert?

I enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with all of our regional partner hospitals and colleagues on a system that is going to have a very meaningful positive impact on healthcare delivery and patient experience within the entire South East Region.

2. How will Lumeo benefit Patient Flow at Providence Care?

The ability to have one single patient record will significantly enhance how patients are referred to Providence Care, how we determine suitability for our programs, how we coordinate care and how we communicate with one another. I am excited about the opportunity to improve both the patient and provider experience.

3. How does Lumeo compare with our current ePR?

Lumeo will provide one regional health record. Imagine being able to easily access information in regards to your patient’s most recent acute care admission or to plan for an incoming admission by reviewing information in the complete health record – instead of waiting for the paper chart or transfer documentation to arrive with the patient. I am envisioning far fewer faxes and much less paper!

4. What do you think the biggest strength of Lumeo is?

I think that the biggest strength of Lumeo is its ability to capture a patient’s healthcare journey throughout the region. The benefits will be improved care, safety, communication and overall efficiency. As healthcare providers and consumers, I am envisioning a more seamless experience.

5. What would you like to share with Providence Care staff about the project?

Though change can feel daunting and we will certainly have a period of significant new learning and adjustment, I am genuinely excited about the positive impact of this change.
